![]() Runes can also be used in some Horadric Cube's recipes. Ohm can be applied to Socketed Items, by doing so it grants said item different properties depending on if the Socketed Item is a Weapon or a piece of Armor. If you are not rich enough to get one for all your characters and you have to share it around, make a mage plate enigma as its the most generally applicable of the lot and it will at worst be slightly suboptimal but never bad.Ohm is a Rune in Diablo 2. For paladins and barbs you could consider going higher for slightly more def though I personally wouldnt recommend it. Personally my opinion is that if you are rich enough to get all your characters that need one an enigma, you should pick whatever armor type you think looks best on the class and then either pick the normal or exceptional version of it depending on the str req and the rest of your gear. By taking this into account instead of just picking an archon plate we have now saved over 30 stat points that can go into vit for hp or dex for max block, both of which will do more for your javazon than 250 defense. if you want to get really optimized about it you can factor in her Tgods so if you have a 69 (nice) enigma base your enigma gets you to 136 which lets you equip tgods which gets you to monarch strength. So for example a nigma at lvl 90 would give 67 str, lets say your javazon wants to use a monarch shield so she needs 156 str, keep the base at 89 or below to use the full benefit of the enigma. You really want to look at what the highest str item is that you want to wear, substract your enigma bonus that you would get at say lvl 85-90 and that should be the max requirement for your enigma base. The number of character builds that care about 250 extra defense is very small (probably only paladins and a few choice barb builds)īecause enigma gives a big strength bonus you don't want the enigma itself to have too high of a str req before you can put it on or some of the strength bonus would go to waste. So for example going from mage plate to archon plate adds a negligable 250-ish defense for almost doubling the requirements. As enigma adds flat defense instead of %defense the only added defense from a higher req base item is the different in base items. Typically people go mage plate because it has low requirements and relatively decent defense for its requirement. ![]()
